Cedric is self-confessed boardsports addict. This passion, combined with design, is what inspires him to create jewelry made from repurposed skateboards. The result is revolutionary: upcycled art-jewelry.More about Cedric
Each skateboard deck is made of 7 plies of maple wood, often in many different colors. Cedric is very inspired by this raw material, and he assembles the wood from the skateboard decks into his designs — giving a new life to things that would otherwise be destined for the trash.
His artistic process doubles as a metaphor: Cedric’s main goal in working with upcycling is to show people that, while things can be broken, dirty, and unusable, they can still be made into something new. Their best features can be brought back to life as a piece of art. Just as human beings can experience failure and loss, Cedric’s jewelry represents the fact that tomorrow is the opportunity for a blank page and a fresh start. Our pasts do not define our futures.Learn more
